We took our car there because of a hesitation when accelerating. We told them the Check Engine Light was NOT on and that we had already check it for codes. They basically did the same thing we had already done, recommended some “ possible fixes” and charged us $115.00 for a Check Engine Light Diagnostic. We asked specifically if they were going to do a more thorough diagnostic and they said yes, but ended up charging us for the same thing we had done at home. Waste of time and money!
Ms. Fields, your vehicle was put on a scan tool and the data was checked while in the bay and while driving the vehicle. No codes or check engine light was present at the time. While test driving the ignition system glitched slightly one time and did not set a code. The technician then took a couple of spark plugs out and found improper and inferior spark plugs were installed elswhere. It is a common issue with do it yourselfers or repair shops that use these kind of parts where they put the inexpensive Autolite spark plugs in and they start malfuntioning fairly quickly. ONLY a Factory installed Original Equipment Spark plug should EVER be used during replacement. The aftermarket spark plugs do not run at the proper heat range for the vehicle and do NOT last long at all. We did put a good hour into diagnosing your vehicle and plenty of Labor was involved. I am sorry you feel this way to give us such a bad review and would like you to understand that it is certainly not our intention to mislead you or ever charge for work that was not performed. I am always available if you would like to discuss this matter further. Thank You. Jeff 352-505-0548
